The Shaston Arms pub situated in London's lively Soho area, close to Leicester Square and Piccadilly Circus.
In the lively area of Soho, on one of London’s most iconic streets, you will find The Shaston Arms, a traditional London ale house.
The name ‘Shaston’ is the old English word for the Dorset town, Shaftesbury, named in many Thomas Hardy novels and just a short distance away from Blandford Forum, the town that we have to thank for their award winning Badger beer.
Today we serve an excellent selection of cask and bottled Badger beers which are kept and poured to perfection.
The Shaston Arms is proud to be part of the Hall & Woodhouse family.

The Shaston Arms in Soho, London Pub Review and Details
Although it feels like it's been there for years, this one is a comparatively new pub.
A decade ago, Hall & Woodhouse took the wine bar on the site and did their best to make it look like a pub with a bit of history.
It's a reasonable effort given the layout of the place, with nooks and crannies in a relatively small space, due to what looks like the conversion of two premises into one.
There are decent Hall & Woodhouse beers - Badger, Tanglefoot and a seasonal guest, Hopping Hare, on our last visit - on offer accompanied by all the other booze you'd expect of a pub in the centre of town.
However, its cramped layout and overwhelming popularity on weekend evenings (and towards the end of the week) means it's not always the place for a quiet chat over a pint or two - unless you're lucky enough to get one of the booths or the seats at the very back, that is.

This pub has been selected by our editorial team thanks to its amusing artwork and bon mots.
(NE Simpson) The Shaston Arms is a nook-and-cranny strewn pub a stone's throw from Carnaby Street.
Its main distinguishing feature is the selection of witticisms written on the walls.
Shaston, it transpires, is the medieval name for the town of Shaftesbury in Dorset, a town that is lovingly depicted among artwork across the walls (plus some standard pictures of London).
Oddly, though there's no food served there is a dumb waiter in the back of the pub.
The Shaston Arms
Shaston is the old English name for Shaftesbury, the Devon town near the home of Hall & Woodhouse Ltd.
It was seen as a fitting title to tie in with Carnaby's landlords, Shaftesbury Plc.
The Shaston Arms opened in December 2000 and is one of Hall & Woodhouse's 260 pubs across the South of England.
It is a traditional beer pub offering a relaxed atmosphere with Dorset country ales from the Badger Brewery.
